If you would like lyricist Chris Breen to supply you finished lyrics first, i.e. you prefer writing music to an existing structure and format...
-
I will quite happily work on brand new lyrics for a specific writing/recording project in most popular music genres*. (Pop/Commercial/Chart, Dance, R&B, Rock, Indie, Country, Acoustic, Jazz, Musical/Shows/Classical/Popular-Opera etc.**) Just send me a brief of what you want (and you can be as detailed in this as you feel necessary - subject matter, viewpoint, tone, attitude, style, influences), or you can leave me a completely free reign!
* - The project must be one I feel has some likelihood of commercial success. This does not mean it has to be a major release, of course! I'll happily work on projects with Independent labels/artists or on albums financed by a singer/songwriter/band themselves if the material & performance is strong enough and I believe in the project. Please just feel free to run the details past me. EMAIL HERE
** Samples of all these styles can either be listened to as finished co-writes on this site or sent to you on CD. Please EMAIL ME details of what you are after and the mailing address.
If you prefer to write music first, then lyrics can be written to your existing melody/arrangement...
-
Just send me details of what you're after (style, narrative & viewpoint) if you need something for a specific project and/or artist. Alternatively, give me a totally free reign to be inspired by the music you send.
Please email Chris and send MP3s via this link: Email Chris
If you need lyrics structured to fit a backing track...
-
Again, I'm quite happy to work to a detailed brief; sketch ideas, perhaps even a title; or to have a completely 'blank page' and get inspired from the feel and direction of the backing track you send over. You choose!
-
Either way, you could work from the finished lyrics, writing a melody line to them and recording that at your studio. Alternatively, I could quite happily write the Top Line (Lyric & Melody) if that is preferred, and then record the top-line as a Demo or Master/final stage recording (using professional session singers) if required, sending the WAV files for you to mix and produce up to your backing track. Again, this can be done in most popular music genres (Pop/Commercial/Chart, Dance, R&B, Rock, Indie, Country, Acoustic, Jazz, Musical/Shows etc.)
